Description

Job Summary: The Director of Maintenance is responsible to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Maintenance Department. Responsibilities: • Direct & monitor department managers to accomplish goals of the daily plan, consistent with established maintenance safety procedures. • Act as liaison between department management/subordinate levels, as well as executive/department manager levels to inform personnel of communications, decisions, policies and all matters that affect their performance, attitudes and results. • Oversee the hiring, training, development and evaluation of staff and take corrective action as necessary in addition to consulting with HR department when appropriate. • Develop documents and establish preventative maintenance program • Oversee repairs and maintenance of production equipment • Perform maintenance checks and assign duties and work assignments • Provide oversight of, ensure contracted services for and completion of all maintenance & repairs. • Enforce established safety rules and policies and procedures of your department • Maintain records of all repairs, preventative maintenance, warranties and inspections • Coordinate department operation, budgets and monitoring expenditures • Ensure all maintenance work is in accordance with State/Federal & OSHA standards • Plan, develop and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs and effectively utilize labor and materials • Mus have ability to be “on call” for emergency situations Qualifications: • Bachelor Degree in a related field and trades experience OR minimum 4 years’ experience • Excellent oral and written skills in English • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics • Experienced and able to work with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook • Excellent organizational skills
