*Experienced Grant Writers familiarize themselves with an organization's programs, goals, and financial needs. They also look into potential funding sources. *Experienced Grant Writer also responsible for writing & developing proposals for both unrestricted operating revenue and restricted projects and for submitting timely and accurate reports for all existing grant funded projects. Grant writers have additional duties, which may include but not limited managing volunteers, working with an executive board, planning fund-raising campaigns and promoting the organization through public relations work. The *Experienced Grant Writer must be an excellent researcher who not only finds the funding organization who grants match with their non-profit but also must be an astute writer who knows how to properly appeal to the funding organizations board. Responsibilities • Grant writers familiarize themselves with an organization's programs, goals, and financial needs • Performing research • Prepare grant proposals • To develop the proposals • Look into potential funding sources • Compose and send the proposals • keep careful records to track their proposals • If a grant-making organization requests additional information, grant writers supply the missing items • Weekly reports Requirements • Grant writers may have a bachelor's degree in communications, English, professional writing or a similar major. • Outstanding grammar • Previous experience as a grant writer • Excellent written communication skills • Top-shelf research skills • Ability to understand the needs of both the agency in need of funding and the organization that is offering the grant money • Great organizational skills • Being able to understand and execute complex instructions • Outstanding computer skills *Experienced Candidates Only Need Apply*
