Cashier Direct Supervisor – Head Cashier, Store Manager Overview: Cashiers will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. All cashiers will be expected to uphold the highest level of customer service to ensure the best shopping experience for the customer. The role requires direct support to the head cashier and store management to assist in operational tasks as directed. Customer Service • Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude • Direct any customer issues or requests to store management • Treat every customer with respect in all interactions • Communicate return policies to the customer at the time of transaction • Be informed of all sales events and promotions • Have a sense of urgency – complete all transactions in a time-efficient manner • Help answer customer questions and direct them to the right person and/or department • Assist in the gift wrapping process Operations • Full Knowledge of Retail Pro and register operations • Have a full understanding of store policies and procedures as it relates to the cash wrap • Ensure opening checklist is complete prior to first transaction of the day • Follow the cashier script provided by store management • Ensure that customer profiles are complete at the time of purchase • Keep your register area neat and organized • Assist in replenishing register supplies • Keep receipts and paperwork organized and in their proper location • Make sure all returns are approved by head cashier or store management • Alert head cashier or store management when handling cash returns or large cash purchases • Ensure all purchases being shipped are properly handled in accordance with store policy • Ensure all paid-in-full purchases are placed in the appropriate area Total Store • Be A Team Player – offer help to all departments as directed • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the cash wrap and front-of-house areas • Follow all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook • Answer incoming calls to the store and direct to the appropriate person and/or department Qualifications • Must have at least 1 year of cashier or retail experience • Must be able to work in fast pace environment with sense of urgency • Basic Knowledge of Fashion • Ability to adapt quickly to the brand’s culture • Strong verbal communication skills • Must be comfortable using register and computer systems • Must be able to lift 15-20 pounds • Must have a flexible schedule, including weekends ANYONE CAN TURN A SHOPPER INTO A CUSTOMER.
