Summary Under direct supervision of the Compliance Manager, the Compliance Specialist (P/T) position handles the various day to day pre-employment related operations within the address Compliance Department, including communicating with staff and management regarding the processing of required background checks for potential employees. The Compliance Specialist (P/T) will have experience with pre-hire candidate background requirements and provide high levels of customer support. Primary Job Functions: ● Complete employment background checks adhering to City, State and Federal contract and licensing requirements ● Serve as the main point of contact during the background check process to candidates providing high levels of customer support and follow up with candidates and external agencies ● Update individual candidate tracker systems and report out to candidates and management as needed ● Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy filing systems ● Meet with new or returning employees to collect and review compliance paperwork ensuring complete and accurate submissions during assigned office hours and as needed ● Conduct periodic site compliance file audits as assigned ● Additional duties as assigned Qualifications: ● A Bachelor’s degree preferred or requisite years of experience ● 1 year of satisfactory experience in Human Resources, Compliance or related field ● Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality ● Excellent written and oral communication skills ● Ability to work accurately, with strong attention to detail ● Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and managing multiple projects ● Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills ● Ability to work independently ● Proficient with Google Applications and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), including document editing and tracking changes At time of offer and acceptance, the job requires safety and security clearances through the Department of Education and Department of Health. address is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
