Test Project Engineer Position Summary: We are looking for a motivated Test Project Engineer to join our team in address supporting the testing and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities associated with a new address Navy ship construction program. Working in the Advanced Electrical Power Systems group, as part of the Naval Surface Warfare Center- Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all ship electric plant test activities from origination through conclusion. Contract Specifications: Must be a address citizen, possessing or able to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Responsible for directing ship electric plant test activities from origination to completion. Organizes technical resources to ensure that test plans and procedures are prepared and approved according to test Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Maintains the test IMS. Coordinates pre-test meetings, test execution, test results reviews, and development of System Problem/Improvement Records (SPIRs). Ensure SPIRs are worked, updated, and closed in a timely manner. Organizes weekly SPIR meeting with system stakeholders. Effectively communicates the status of test to technical management stakeholders. Participates in the Joint Test Group (EPDWG), which comprises of NSWCPD, PEOSHIPS and SEA 05 representatives. Monitors the test program to ensure tests are on schedule and within the budget established by management. Responsible for ensuring that all ILS products are reviewed and are approved according to program requirements. Coordinates ILS meetings and ensures REMEDY Tickets are tracked and are closed in a timely manner. Effectively communicates the status of ILS work products to technical management stakeholders. Participates in the ILS weekly meeting and develops working relationships with ILS stakeholders. Required Education, Skills, and Experience: B. S. in Electrical Engineering preferred 3-7 years of demonstrated test management experience required Ability to learn quickly and work on several projects concurrently Experience with working effectively in dynamic environments - requiring the ability to assess and prioritize tasks, managing time and resources to meet assigned deadlines Excellent verbal and written skills required Physical Demands and Expectations: Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, standing and prolonged sitting Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment This position description represents a summary of the major components and requirements of the outlined job.
